R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The congregants of First St. Mark Missionary Baptist |
|
Church in Houston are deeply appreciative of the Reverend Murphy D. |
|
Simon, Jr., and his wife, Sister April Simon, who have dedicated |
|
four years of service to the church; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through their outstanding spiritual leadership, |
|
compassionate guidance, and strong faith, Reverend and Sister Simon |
|
are commendable role models for many; and |
|
WHEREAS, The couple shared their talents with St. John |
|
Missionary Baptist Church and Lilly Grove Baptist Church before |
|
coming to First St. Mark Missionary Baptist; they have diligently |
|
worked in behalf of his congregation and the members of the wider |
|
community and continue to offer comfort to those who seek their |
|
assistance; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Simons have enhanced the lives of countless |
|
individuals during their service as church leaders, and they |
|
continue to be a steadfast source of inspiration to their |
|
congregation; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Reverend Murphy D. Simon, Jr., |
|
and Sister April Simon on their fourth anniversary with First St. |
|
Mark Missionary Baptist Church and extend to them sincere best |
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Pastor and Mrs. Simon as an expression of high regard |
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
