R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Janice Bullock of Midland has been named the 2007 |
|
|
Region 18 Elementary Teacher of the Year by the Texas Education |
|
|
Agency; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Bullock is a graduate of The University of Texas |
|
|
of the Permian Basin, where she is currently studying for her |
|
|
master's degree in education; a beloved fourth-grade teacher, she |
|
|
has been a member of the Sam Houston Elementary School staff since |
|
|
2002; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Known for her innovative teaching style and |
|
|
enthusiasm for learning, Ms. Bullock has demonstrated her |
|
|
dedication to her profession through her involvement with campus |
|
|
and district Education Improvement Committees as well as the TRC; |
|
|
in addition, she has served as campus coordinator for the Midland |
|
|
Reporter-Telegram Spelling Bee and is a valued member of the |
|
|
International Reading Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most precious |
|
|
resource, and a quality education is vital in order for our young |
|
|
people to become successful adults; Janice Bullock demonstrates the |
|
|
passion, determination, and enthusiasm that are the hallmarks of |
|
|
our best teachers, and she is indeed an exemplary role model in her |
|
|
profession; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Janice Bullock on being named the |
|
|
2007 Region 18 Elementary Teacher of the Year by the Texas Education |
|
|
Agency and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Bullock as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
