R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five |
|
|
decades, Alvino and Miquela Reyes celebrated their 50th wedding |
|
|
anniversary on August 26, 2006; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Reyes exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
in 1956, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in |
|
|
each other a devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Reyes count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their four children, Anna Lopez and her |
|
|
husband, Freddy, Alvino Reyes, Jr., and his wife, Cathy, Ricky |
|
|
Reyes and his wife, Angela, and Edward Reyes and his wife, Patricia; |
|
|
the couple also have 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren |
|
|
with whom they treasure enjoying the many special occasions of |
|
|
life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back at the past five decades, Alvino and |
|
|
Miquela Reyes can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and |
|
|
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that |
|
|
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Alvino and Miquela Reyes on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Reyes as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
