R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, August 18, 2006, marked the 50th wedding anniversary |
|
|
of Hugh and Louise Christianson, and this joyous event has provided |
|
|
a fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey |
|
|
together as husband and wife; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Hugh Christianson and the former Louise Burton were |
|
|
joined in matrimony in 1956, at a ceremony held at the First United |
|
|
Methodist Church in Midland; through the years, they have been |
|
|
blessed with a treasured family that includes their children, Holly |
|
|
Roundtree and her husband, James, and Eric Christianson and his |
|
|
wife, Alice, as well as three grandchildren, Aaron, Eric, and Joy; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Christianson is an engineer who retired from |
|
|
ARCO in 1985, and Mrs. Christianson worked as a church secretary; |
|
|
the couple have been valued members of St. Luke's United Methodist |
|
|
Church for more than 35 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. |
|
|
Christianson have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of |
|
|
love and commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to |
|
|
all who know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Hugh and Louise Christianson on |
|
|
their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Christianson as an expression of high |
|
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
