R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
by a great and enduring love, John and Winifred Murray of Greenville |
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 14, 2007; and |
|
WHEREAS, John and Winnie Murray were united in matrimony in |
|
1957; they have nurtured a close and fulfilling marriage that has |
|
been made even richer with the addition of four children, Susan, |
|
David, Michael, and Patrick; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Murray worked as an airline radio communications |
|
operator for 22 years before he and his wife bought managing |
|
interest in a Rodeway Inn in Tucson; he later took a job with |
|
E-Systems and worked in the calibrations department until 2005, |
|
just one week before his 78th birthday; he is a lifetime member of |
|
the Elks Lodge, and Mrs. Murray is a member of Greenville's |
|
Newcomers Club; and |
|
WHEREAS, Having witnessed innumerable changes in the world |
|
over the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife have |
|
taken comfort in the reassuring strength of their love, and the |
|
steadfast support they provide to one another has allowed them to |
|
meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and |
|
determination; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate John and Winifred Murray on their |
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Murray as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
