R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, March 15, 2007, marked the 50th wedding anniversary |
|
|
of J. T. and Ella Jane Thompson of Wolfe City, and this joyous event |
|
|
provides a fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable |
|
|
journey together as husband and wife; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Thompson and the former Ella Jane Lattimer were |
|
|
joined in matrimony in 1957 at a ceremony held in Bonham; through |
|
|
the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that |
|
|
includes their son, Brian Thompson and his wife, Julie, as well as |
|
|
their three grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Thompson |
|
|
is retired from Southwest Pump Company in Bonham and Mrs. Thompson |
|
|
is retired from Ennis Tag & Label in Wolfe City; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Thompson |
|
|
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|
|
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|
|
know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate J. T. and Ella Jane Thompson on |
|
|
their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Thompson as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
