R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The retirement of Raul W. Ramos from Sul Ross State |
|
|
University on February 28, 2007, brought to a close an outstanding |
|
|
tenure with the institution that spanned an impressive 32 years; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Ramos joined the staff of Sul Ross in 1975 as a |
|
|
ranch worker, and throughout his decades with the school, he |
|
|
provided able service to the Division of Range Animal Science and |
|
|
the School of Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Appreciated for his work ethic and ability to figure |
|
|
things out, Mr. Ramos was an invaluable asset to Sul Ross as he |
|
|
handled his many responsibilities, which included caring for |
|
|
livestock and maintaining ranch facilities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Ramos has worked to ensure that facilities at |
|
|
Sul Ross State University provide a safe and welcoming environment |
|
|
for students, and as he embarks on the next stage of his life, he may |
|
|
reflect with great pride on his years of employment with the school; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Raul W. Ramos on the occasion of |
|
|
his retirement from Sul Ross State University and extend to him best |
|
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Ramos as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
