R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
  decades, Waymon and Betty Hall of Granbury are celebrating their
  50th wedding anniversary on March 21, 2007; and
         WHEREAS, Robert Waymon Hall met the former Betty Lou Harwell
  in Rio Vista in 1956, while she was working at her father's snack
  bar, and they married six months later; over the years, they have
  nurtured a close and fulfilling marriage that has been made even
  richer with the addition of five children, Vickie, Mike, Gary, Rob,
  and Todd, and eight grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Hired by the Santa Fe Railway in 1956, Mr. Hall
  worked for many years in the Cleburne area and in Kansas City before
  retiring in 2000; at that time, the Halls chose to return to Texas
  and make it their permanent home; and
         WHEREAS, The couple enjoy spending time with the many friends
  they have made at Thousand Trails, a membership resort in Hill
  County, and they are active members of Fort Graham Baptist Church in
  Whitney; and
         WHEREAS, For half a century, Waymon and Betty Hall have
  brightened each other's lives with kindness and devotion, and it is
  a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Robert Waymon Hall and Betty Hall
  on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes for
  continued happiness together; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hall as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
