R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Brothers John Marshall Millsap and Thomas Jay |
|
Millsap of Boy Scouts of America Troop 58 in Bulverde have attained |
|
the rank of Eagle Scout, and their accomplishments truly merit |
|
special recognition; and |
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|
criteria, both young men earned the requisite 21 merit badges, |
|
including ones for citizenship in the community, nation, and world, |
|
and successfully completed Eagle Scout projects of benefit to their |
|
community; and |
|
WHEREAS, These fine young Texans have demonstrated |
|
outstanding leadership ability throughout their scouting careers, |
|
winning the respect and admiration of their fellow scouts as they |
|
worked toward the highest rank that scouting offers; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through their dedication to excellence and their |
|
perseverance in the pursuit of their goals, the Millsap brothers |
|
have earned a place among scouting's elite, and they may indeed |
|
reflect with pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate John Marshall Millsap and Thomas |
|
Jay Millsap on being named Eagle Scouts and extend to them best |
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the Millsap brothers as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
