R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The 101st birthday of an esteemed Texan is truly |
|
|
cause for celebration, and on February 8, 2007, Eliseo Garcia of |
|
|
Skidmore marked this significant milestone in his long life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A longtime resident of Bee County, Mr. Garcia is the |
|
|
beloved patriarch of a large family; today, he counts among his |
|
|
descendants 11 children, 54 grandchildren, 147 |
|
|
great-grandchildren, 53 great-great-grandchildren, and a |
|
|
great-great-great-grandchild; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Garcia is a joy and inspiration to all those who |
|
|
are privileged to know him, and it is a pleasure to congratulate |
|
|
this special Texan on more than a century of life well lived; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Eliseo Garcia on his 101st birthday |
|
|
and extend to him best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Garcia as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
