R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
  decades, Clarence and Betty Murray of Midland celebrated their 50th
  wedding anniversary on June 9, 2006; and
         WHEREAS, Clarence Murray and the former Betty Bauman
  exchanged the vows of matrimony at the First Baptist Church of
  Gatesville on that special day in 1956, and over the course of their
  marriage, they have found in each other a devoted life partner; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Murray count among their blessings a
  family that includes four children, Kathy Harrison, Becky McCraney,
  Tim Murray, and Jennifer Sharrick, as well as 17 grandchildren,
  with whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions of life;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Murray was a petroleum engineer for Coastal
  States Signal and Mobil Oil Company, and Mrs. Murray is a homemaker;
  the couple also owned ClarDon Products; and
         WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Clarence
  and Betty Murray can savor a wealth of cherished memories and know
  that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many
  more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Clarence and Betty Murray on their
  50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Murray as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
