R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
by a great and enduring love, Alvin and Juanita Gary of Lamesa |
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 8, 2006; and |
|
WHEREAS, Alvin Gary and the former Juanita Wilson were united |
|
in matrimony in Levelland in 1956; they have nurtured a close and |
|
fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the |
|
addition of eight children and their spouses, Pamela Molouysen and |
|
her husband, Emile, Peggy Horner and her husband, Ronnie, Stephen |
|
Gary and his wife, Vicki, David Gary and his wife, Pam, Mark Gary |
|
and his wife, Jana, Paula Moll and her husband, Rusty, Sallie |
|
McKenzie and her husband, Terry, and Paul Gary and his wife, |
|
Rebekah; they also have 17 grandchildren and 19 |
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Gary worked for Cities Service Oil Company for |
|
31 years and for the Railroad Commission of Texas for eight years; |
|
Mrs. Gary is a homemaker; and |
|
WHEREAS, Having witnessed innumerable changes in the world |
|
over the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife have |
|
taken comfort in the reassuring strength of their love, and the |
|
steadfast support they provide to one another has allowed them to |
|
meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and |
|
determination; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Alvin and Juanita Gary on their |
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gary as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
