R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, June 1, 2006, marked the 60th anniversary of James |
|
and Billie Henry of Midland, and this joyous event provides a |
|
fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey together |
|
as husband and wife; and |
|
WHEREAS, Jim Henry and the former Billie Jean Denson were |
|
joined in matrimony in 1946 at a ceremony held in her parents' home |
|
in Rule; through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured |
|
family that includes their two daughters and their spouses, Kathy |
|
Sterne and her husband, Louis, and Judy Johnson and her husband, |
|
Ronnie, as well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Henry |
|
established Henry Engineering in 1964 in Midland and Mrs. Henry is a |
|
homemaker; in addition to their career and family responsibilities, |
|
they have been valued members of First Baptist Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, The 60 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Henry have |
|
shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|
know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Billie Henry on their |
|
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Henry as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
