R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Gary and Gail Gililland of Midland |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 11, 2006; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Gary Gililland and the former Gail Jones were united |
|
|
in matrimony in Lubbock in 1956; they have nurtured a close and |
|
|
fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the |
|
|
addition of three children, Gina McCasland, Geri Ann Bandemir, and |
|
|
Grady Gililland, as well as four grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Gililland is retired from Employer's Insurance |
|
|
Company of Texas, and the couple are valued members of First |
|
|
Presbyterian Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Having witnessed innumerable changes in the world |
|
|
over the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife have |
|
|
taken comfort in the reassuring strength of their love, and the |
|
|
steadfast support they provide to one another has allowed them to |
|
|
meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and |
|
|
determination; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gary and Gail Gililland on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gililland as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
