R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The men and women of the National Guard and the |
|
|
United States Air Force, Army, and Navy Reserves have played an |
|
|
increasingly vital role in safeguarding the interests of our nation |
|
|
in recent years; whether working to make America safer at home, |
|
|
fighting the global war on terror, or helping citizens recover from |
|
|
natural disasters, they serve this nation with great courage, |
|
|
dedication, and devotion to duty; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, One such individual is Ronald R. Carvalho, a |
|
|
dedicated member of the U.S. Air Force Reserve, who is deserving of |
|
|
our highest praise for his exemplary service in behalf of this |
|
|
country; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A resident of New Braunfels, Ronald Carvalho serves |
|
|
as a trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety in his |
|
|
civilian life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt of gratitude to |
|
|
Trooper Carvalho and to all of the country's military personnel, |
|
|
for they are called on to bear great, often unimaginable, burdens, |
|
|
and they render service and sacrifice that is truly beyond measure; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Trooper Carvalho embodies the highest ideals of the |
|
|
U.S. armed forces, and his steadfast service has earned him the |
|
|
sincere appreciation of his fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Trooper Ronald R. Carvalho for his service |
|
|
to his country and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Trooper Carvalho as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
