R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, For 94 years, families have come together to
  celebrate their faith at Barbour's Chapel Baptist Church in Texas
  City; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1913, Barbour's Chapel has played a
  vital role in the community, providing its members with a welcome
  opportunity for spiritual growth, fellowship, and community
  outreach; and
         WHEREAS, The congregation has been blessed with many
  compassionate and able leaders through the years, and today that
  legacy continues with the inspired teachings of Pastor James E.
  Brown, Sr.; and
         WHEREAS, For more than nine decades, Barbour's Chapel Baptist
  Church has served as a source of strength and guidance to those who
  have worshiped there, and the church stands as a tribute to the
  faith and dedication of its members, both past and present, who have
  devoted their time, prayers, and resources to ensure its continued
  existence; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Barbour's Chapel Baptist Church on the
  94th anniversary of its founding and extend to Pastor James E.
  Brown, Sr., and his congregation sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Pastor Brown and the church as an expression of high
  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
