R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, After 42 years of exemplary service, engineer Gary |
|
Johnson will retire from the Federal Highway Administration on May |
|
2, 2007; and |
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of his notable career with the |
|
agency, Mr. Johnson has distinguished himself in several different |
|
highway districts in the Lone Star State, earning the respect and |
|
admiration of his peers; and |
|
WHEREAS, In recent years, he has served as the Houston major |
|
projects engineer, helping to oversee projects in a large and |
|
dynamic district that includes Harris and Galveston Counties; and |
|
WHEREAS, Despite his busy professional life, he has long been |
|
active in the Blackland Prairie Association, working to preserve |
|
the interests of rural communities in Travis County; and |
|
WHEREAS, Gary Johnson's dedication, professionalism, and |
|
commitment to excellence have greatly benefited his fellow Texans, |
|
and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent as he |
|
prepares to embark on the next exciting chapter of his life; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gary Johnson on his retirement from |
|
the Federal Highway Administration and extend to him best wishes |
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Johnson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
