R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Six members of the Rankin High School Lady Red |
|
|
Devils basketball team were named to the District 10-1A |
|
|
All-District squad; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Seniors Dana Feathers and Kylee Self were selected |
|
|
as the district's Co-MVPs, while teammate Halie Davis received the |
|
|
district's Newcomer of the Year award; rounding out the team's |
|
|
all-district honorees are seniors Andrea Aguilar, Randi Goff, and |
|
|
Kelly Yeager; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The senior-laden Red Devils, who demonstrated a |
|
|
commitment to teamwork and basketball fundamentals throughout the |
|
|
season, captured the 2007 Area Championship and finished their |
|
|
season with an impressive 20-7 record; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Rankin High School All-District basketball |
|
|
players have been rewarded for their strong work ethic and |
|
|
commitment to excellence, and those qualities will continue to |
|
|
serve them well in all their endeavors; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize Dana Feathers, Kylee Self, Halie |
|
|
Davis, Andrea Aguilar, Randi Goff, and Kelly Yeager for their |
|
|
exceptional athletic achievements and extend to them best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the students as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
