R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |
|
and shared experiences, and Bill and Joyce Chapman of Midland |
|
celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on November 3, |
|
2006; and |
|
WHEREAS, Bill Chapman and the former Joyce Kolacek were |
|
joined in matrimony in 1956 in a ceremony held in LaPryer; through |
|
the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that |
|
includes two daughters, Brenda Kay Vaughn and Tina Renee Chapman, |
|
as well as two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of the community, Mr. Chapman |
|
worked for Gibson, Reda Pump, Midwest Glass, and Lundy Look, and |
|
Mrs. Chapman worked for Reynolds and Son's in Midland; in addition |
|
to meeting their work and family responsibilities, they have been |
|
valued members of Living Way Foursquare Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Chapman have enjoyed five decades of |
|
abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Bill and Joyce Chapman on their |
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Chapman as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
