R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, June 13, 2006, marked the 50th wedding anniversary |
|
|
of Kenneth and Twana Evers of Midland, and this joyous event has |
|
|
provided a fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable |
|
|
journey together as husband and wife; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Kenneth Evers and the former Twana Faye Boyce were |
|
|
joined in matrimony in 1956 at the First Christian Church in Odessa; |
|
|
through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family |
|
|
that includes two daughters, Lisa Kilborn and Kristi Gordon, as |
|
|
well as four grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Evers is |
|
|
retired from Drilco International and Aplex Pump and Mrs. Evers is |
|
|
retired from TXU Energy; in addition to meeting their work and |
|
|
family responsibilities, they have been valued members of the First |
|
|
Christian Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Evers have |
|
|
shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|
|
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|
|
know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kenneth and Twana Evers on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Evers as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
