R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, August 11, 2006, marked the 50th wedding anniversary |
|
|
of Leann and Harold Brenner, and this joyous event provides a |
|
|
fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey together |
|
|
as husband and wife; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Hal Brenner and the former Leann Graber were joined |
|
|
in matrimony in 1956 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Manhattan, |
|
|
Kansas; through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured |
|
|
family that includes four children, David Brenner, Mike Brenner, |
|
|
Danny Brenner, and Sheryl Cox, as well as nine grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of the community, Mr. Brenner |
|
|
works in the oil industry and Mrs. Brenner retired from the Midland |
|
|
Independent School District in 2001 after teaching for 35 years; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Brenner |
|
|
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|
|
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|
|
know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Leann and Harold Brenner on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Brenner as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
