R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |
|
|
and shared experiences, and Billy and Edith Sullivan of Camp Wood |
|
|
celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on August 31, |
|
|
2006; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Billy Sullivan and the former Edith White were |
|
|
joined in matrimony in 1956 in Port Lavaca; through the years they |
|
|
have been blessed with a treasured family that includes three |
|
|
children, Danny Sullivan, David Sullivan, and Kathy Payne, as well |
|
|
as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Sullivans lived in Midland for more than 20 |
|
|
years before retiring in Camp Wood; Mr. Sullivan worked for 37 years |
|
|
for Teledyne Exploration and for Allstate Environmental, and Mrs. |
|
|
Sullivan was a cook for Greenwood Elementary School, Lee High |
|
|
School, and Midland Women's Club; she is also involved with TOPS; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan have enjoyed five decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Billy and Edith Sullivan on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
