R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
  by a great and enduring love, A. L. and Earlene Teaff of Burleson
  celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 13, 2006; and
         WHEREAS, A. L. Teaff, Jr., and the former Earlene King were
  united in matrimony at East Side Baptist Church in McCamey in 1956;
  they have nurtured a close and fulfilling marriage that has been
  made even richer with the addition of three children and their
  spouses, Monty Teaff and his wife, Donna, Kara Webb, and DeAnna
  Killian and her husband, Gary, as well as five grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Teaff worked for First Baptist Church for
  several years before retiring; he has also served as pastor of
  Mangum Baptist of Ladonia, and on the education and administrative
  staff of First Baptist of Jacinto City, First Baptist of Cleveland,
  First Baptist of Huntsville, and Park Hills Baptist of Austin; Mrs.
  Teaff is retired from Stribling Elementary School in Burleson; and
         WHEREAS, Having witnessed innumerable changes in the world
  over the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife have
  taken comfort in the reassuring strength of their love, and the
  steadfast support they provide to one another has allowed them to
  meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and
  determination; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate A. L. and Earlene Teaff on their
  golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
  for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Teaff as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
