R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, A. L. and Earlene Teaff of Burleson |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 13, 2006; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A. L. Teaff, Jr., and the former Earlene King were |
|
|
united in matrimony at East Side Baptist Church in McCamey in 1956; |
|
|
they have nurtured a close and fulfilling marriage that has been |
|
|
made even richer with the addition of three children and their |
|
|
spouses, Monty Teaff and his wife, Donna, Kara Webb, and DeAnna |
|
|
Killian and her husband, Gary, as well as five grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Teaff worked for First Baptist Church for |
|
|
several years before retiring; he has also served as pastor of |
|
|
Mangum Baptist of Ladonia, and on the education and administrative |
|
|
staff of First Baptist of Jacinto City, First Baptist of Cleveland, |
|
|
First Baptist of Huntsville, and Park Hills Baptist of Austin; Mrs. |
|
|
Teaff is retired from Stribling Elementary School in Burleson; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Having witnessed innumerable changes in the world |
|
|
over the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife have |
|
|
taken comfort in the reassuring strength of their love, and the |
|
|
steadfast support they provide to one another has allowed them to |
|
|
meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and |
|
|
determination; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate A. L. and Earlene Teaff on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Teaff as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
