R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may comfort the family
  and friends of Raymond Louis Saleh of Euless, who passed away on
  October 17, 2006, at the age of 80; and
         WHEREAS, Born on January 5, 1926, in New Haven, Connecticut,
  Ray Saleh graduated valedictorian of his high school class and
  subsequently served in the U.S. Army during World War II; and
         WHEREAS, Following his discharge from the military, Mr. Saleh
  went to work for Chance Vought Aircraft and was eventually
  transferred to the company's North Texas plant; he retired as
  manager of field service for Vought Aeronautics in 1988 after an
  exemplary tenure that spanned some 45 years; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Saleh married the former Mary Elizabeth
  Roseberry on June 21, 1952, and they were blessed with five
  children, Pam, Penny, Rick, Rory, and Randy; Mrs. Saleh, or "Mary
  Lib," as she is known, has served as mayor of Euless since 1993; and
         WHEREAS, A longtime member of St. John's Catholic Church, Mr.
  Saleh inspired others with his deep faith and his love of learning;
  he enjoyed boating, traveling, watching John Wayne movies, and
  cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, and he had a knack for woodworking,
  auto mechanics, and building model airplanes; and
         WHEREAS, Although he is deeply missed by all those who were
  fortunate enough to know him, Ray Saleh will long be remembered for
  his wisdom, affection, and enthusiasm; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Raymond Louis Saleh
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  wife of 54 years, Mary Lib Saleh; to his children, Pam Atchison and
  her husband, Bob, Penny Stephenson and her husband, Craig, Rick
  Saleh and his wife, Jina, Rory Saleh and his wife, Karen, and Randy
  Saleh and his wife, Carolina; to his grandchildren, Jarrod Atchison
  and his wife, Rebecca, Justin Atchison, Travis Stephenson, Lauren
  Stephenson, and Chelsey, Cole, and Gabrielle Saleh; to his brother,
  Joseph Saleh; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Raymond
  Louis Saleh.
