R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Wayne and Virginia Johnson of Quinlan celebrated |
|
|
their 50th wedding anniversary on February 21, 2007, and they may |
|
|
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have |
|
|
shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
in Garfield, Kansas, on that special day in 1957, and over the |
|
|
course of their marriage, they have found in each other a caring |
|
|
life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Virginia and Wayne Johnson count among their |
|
|
blessings a fine family that includes their four daughters, Jamie |
|
|
Penner, Lori Johnson, Lisa Haley, and Jill Krause, as well as five |
|
|
grandchildren, with whom they share the many special occasions of |
|
|
life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Wayne and Virginia Johnson have |
|
|
brought to their marriage kindness and devotion, and it is a |
|
|
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Virginia and Wayne Johnson on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Johnson as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
