R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Dale Roberts has provided leadership and vision for
  the credit union industry in Texas for nearly 40 years, and his
  retirement in 2007 provides a fitting opportunity to pay tribute to
  this notable professional; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Roberts began his career in 1968, and through
  hard work and determination he rose through the ranks, ultimately
  becoming president and CEO of PrimeWay Federal Credit Union in
  1996; under his leadership, PrimeWay has experienced tremendous
  growth, reaching $250 million in assets while serving more than
  45,000 members; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Southwest CUNA Management School, Mr.
  Roberts has shared his time with a number of industry
  organizations; the founder of Credit Union Acceptance Corporation
  and Credit Union Mortgages of Texas, he serves as director of Texas
  Credit Union League, the Houston Chapter of Credit Unions, and
  Information Technologies Credit Union Association; he has chaired
  the Texas Credit Union Shared Services Centers Advisory Committee
  and is a valued member of the Texas Credit Union League Bank
  Conversion Committee and the Texas Telephone Credit Union
  Association; and
         WHEREAS, Also active in his community, Mr. Roberts serves as
  chairman of the board of directors for Career and Recovery
  Resources, a nonprofit, United Way agency that assists a wide range
  of individuals in need; and
         WHEREAS, Dale Roberts has earned the lasting respect of many,
  and he leaves the banking world with a legacy of professionalism and
  a host of colleagues who wish him a happy and fulfilling retirement;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Dale Roberts on the occasion of his
  retirement from PrimeWay Federal Credit Union and extend to him
  best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Roberts as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
