R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, An esteemed physician, Dr. Euell W. Crisp has |
|
provided the citizens of Alice with excellent medical care for 50 |
|
years; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in Corpus Christi on August 30, 1924, Dr. Crisp |
|
graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1943; answering his |
|
nation's call to duty, he served as a combat medic in Africa, Italy, |
|
France, and Germany during World War II; and |
|
WHEREAS, After the war, Dr. Crisp attended medical school at |
|
Loma Linda University in Los Angeles, where he also completed his |
|
internship in 1957; he then returned to Texas and began his medical |
|
career in practice with Dr. Edwin P. Virgen in Alice and served on |
|
the staff of the Physicians and Surgeons Hospital; and |
|
WHEREAS, After the loss of his first wife, the former Winnona |
|
Hixon, Dr. Crisp married Elodia Luna; a devoted husband and father, |
|
he takes great pride in his family, which today includes four |
|
children, two stepchildren, 11 grandchildren, and two |
|
great-grandchildren; following in his footsteps in the medical |
|
profession are pediatric neurologist Dr. Darrell Crisp and |
|
pediatric radiologist Dr. Mathew Crisp; and |
|
WHEREAS, Euell Crisp is a credit to his profession and to the |
|
Lone Star State, and his 50-year career, which has benefited |
|
countless area Texans, has rightfully earned him the admiration of |
|
all who know him; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Dr. Euell W. Crisp for his exemplary |
|
service to the community of Alice and extend to him sincere best |
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Dr. Crisp as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
