R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, United States Army Sergeant Juan Lozano, Jr., has
  been awarded the Army Commendation Medal in recognition of his
  meritorious service in Operation Iraqi Freedom; and
         WHEREAS, The son of John and Rachel Lozano of Poteet,
  Sergeant Lozano joined the military soon after graduating from
  Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio in 1999; now serving in his
  seventh year, he is a squad leader assigned to the 4th Battalion,
  27th Field Artillery Regiment, based in Baumholder, Germany; and
         WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt of gratitude to
  Sergeant Lozano and to all the country's military personnel, for
  they are often called on to bear unimaginable burdens, and they
  render service and sacrifice that are truly beyond measure; and
         WHEREAS, Through his unwavering devotion to duty, honor, and
  this nation, Sergeant Lozano embodies the highest ideals of the
  U.S. armed forces, and his steadfast service has earned him the
  sincere appreciation of his fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate U.S. Army Sergeant Juan Lozano,
  Jr., on his receipt of the Army Commendation Medal and commend him
  for his valorous service to his country; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Sergeant Lozano as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
