R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, United States Army Sergeant Juan Lozano, Jr., has |
|
been awarded the Army Commendation Medal in recognition of his |
|
meritorious service in Operation Iraqi Freedom; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of John and Rachel Lozano of Poteet, |
|
Sergeant Lozano joined the military soon after graduating from |
|
Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio in 1999; now serving in his |
|
seventh year, he is a squad leader assigned to the 4th Battalion, |
|
27th Field Artillery Regiment, based in Baumholder, Germany; and |
|
WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt of gratitude to |
|
Sergeant Lozano and to all the country's military personnel, for |
|
they are often called on to bear unimaginable burdens, and they |
|
render service and sacrifice that are truly beyond measure; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through his unwavering devotion to duty, honor, and |
|
this nation, Sergeant Lozano embodies the highest ideals of the |
|
U.S. armed forces, and his steadfast service has earned him the |
|
sincere appreciation of his fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate U.S. Army Sergeant Juan Lozano, |
|
Jr., on his receipt of the Army Commendation Medal and commend him |
|
for his valorous service to his country; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Sergeant Lozano as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
