R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An 85th birthday is truly cause for celebration, and |
|
|
Willie Deloise Williams Faine of Houston reached that milestone on |
|
|
March 26, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Willie Faine |
|
|
exchanged the vows of matrimony with Raleigh Bill Faine on November |
|
|
21, 1938; Mr. and Mrs. Faine raised five daughters, Rose, Rauletha, |
|
|
Arnetta, Vera, and Bernadette, and were happily married for more |
|
|
than five decades before Mr. Faine passed away in 1994; over the |
|
|
years, the Faine family has grown to include 11 grandchildren and 14 |
|
|
great-grandchildren, with whom Mrs. Faine is able to enjoy the |
|
|
special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A longtime resident of the Clinton Park community, |
|
|
Willie Faine was a founding member of the Clinton Park Civic Club in |
|
|
1942; in addition, she is an active member of the Church of the |
|
|
Living God, Pillar and Ground of the Truth, and she served as |
|
|
pianist for the senior choir of Temple No. 18 for more than 25 |
|
|
years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Willie Faine has long enriched the lives of her many |
|
|
family members and friends, and it is a pleasure to honor her for 85 |
|
|
years of life well lived; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Willie Deloise Williams Faine on |
|
|
her 85th birthday and extend to her best wishes for continued |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Faine as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
