R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times, loving
  moments, and meaningful accomplishments may comfort the family and
  friends of Jim Ted Jolly of Galveston, who passed away on March 14,
  2007; and
         WHEREAS, Born a twin on January 14, 1939, in Phillips, Texas,
  Ted Jolly earned a master's degree in clinical psychology from the
  University of North Texas in 1963; he held positions such as
  psychologist for the Gatesville State School for Boys and director
  of juvenile services for the City of Lubbock before opening a
  private practice in 1970; in addition, he served for many years as
  an expert witness for the Social Security Administration disability
  determination division and as a legal expert for attorneys and
  economists; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Jolly very much enjoyed his work leading anger
  management classes and counseling individuals, and his
  characteristic warmth and empathy made a difference in the lives of
  countless clients and numerous friends who came to rely on him in
  times of need; and
         WHEREAS, A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Mr.
  Jolly will long be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and
  wisdom by all those who shared in the blessing of his life; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jim Ted Jolly and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Nancy Jordan Jolly; to his son, Derek Jolly and his wife, Tracy; to
  his daughters, Jamie Jolly Lottinger, Mandy Jolly Norman and her
  husband, Teddy, Jodie Jolly Milson and her husband, Lynn, Cheryl
  Richardson Smith, Kathryn Richardson Oliver and her husband,
  Darren, and Lorraine Richardson Tipps and her husband, Douglas; to
  his grandchildren, Clara Mae Milson, Andrew and Matthew Smith,
  Jason and Travis Burns, Timothy Ford and his wife, Lynette, and
  Ginger and Nancy Ford; to his great-grandchildren, Lilly Rose Ford
  and Gabriel Winter; to his twin brother, Jack Ned Jolly and his
  wife, Cela; to his brother, Billy Rex Jolly and his wife, LaVerne;
  and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jim Ted
  Jolly.
