R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The residents of Corsicana lost a beloved neighbor
  and friend with the passing of Peggy Sue Logan Baechtle on June 11,
  2006, at the age of 70; and
         WHEREAS, Born to Elizabeth and Homer Logan on April 3, 1936,
  in Corsicana, the former Peggy Logan graduated with honors from
  Corsicana High School in 1954 and from the Scott and White School of
  Nursing in 1957; she later went on to earn a degree in anesthesia
  from the Baylor College of Medicine and had a career in the medical
  profession in Dallas for more than 40 years; she retired in 2001 at
  the age of 65; and
         WHEREAS, She was married to George William Baechtle for 47
  years and took great pride in their family, which included three
  daughters, Wendy, Heidi, and Erika, and seven grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, A supporter of the Disabled Veterans Association,
  the local firefighters, the Navarro County Genealogical Society,
  and the Cook Center of Corsicana, Mrs. Baechtle was also a member of
  First Christian Church and was instrumental in the formation and
  development of the "Church in the Park"; and
         WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in the love and
  friendship of Peggy Baechtle will long miss her warmth and
  graciousness, but the memory of her generosity of spirit, steadfast
  faith, and inspiring optimism will forever occupy a treasured place
  in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Peggy Sue Logan
  Baechtle and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family:
  to her husband, George Baechtle; to her daughters, Wendy Heugatter
  and her husband, Lynn, Heidi Janak and her husband, Ed, and Erika
  Garrett and her husband, Jacob; to her grandchildren, Jessica and
  Marcus Janak, A. J. and Eli Heugatter, and Haden, Jake, and Liesel
  Garrett; to her sisters, Wanda Fennel and Betty Jo Hausermann; and
  to her other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Peggy
  Baechtle.
