R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times, loving
  moments, and meaningful accomplishments may comfort the family and
  friends of James C. Henderson, who passed away on March 2, 2007, at
  the age of 76; and
         WHEREAS, James Henderson was born to Clifford Henderson and
  Kathryn Giddings Henderson on December 8, 1930, in Kansas City,
  Missouri; he was an Eagle Scout and attended Central High School,
  graduating in 1948; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Henderson served this nation as a member of the
  U.S. Navy, and after completing his service, he embarked on a
  successful career with DuPont that spanned 34 years; and
         WHEREAS, A past president of the Emerson Literary Society, he
  was an avid golfer and an animal lover who was particularly fond of
  dogs; and
         WHEREAS, While it is always hard to say good-bye to a loved
  one, those fortunate enough to have known James Henderson will long
  remember him as a man who lived life to the fullest and brightened
  their days with his affection and friendship; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of James C. Henderson and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  companion, Mary Kay "Katie" Bachus; to his daughters, Marsha Parker
  and her husband, Jim, Holli Miller and her husband, Tom, and Libbi
  Torres and her husband, Maurice; to his six grandchildren, Ashlee,
  Brett, Zach, Shelby, Clair, and Davis; and to his other relatives
  and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James C.
  Henderson.
