R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Terry W. Hammond of El Paso has distinguished |
|
himself as a talented attorney throughout his outstanding legal |
|
career; and |
|
WHEREAS, The president of Hammond Townsend Allala, PLLC, |
|
Mr. Hammond specializes in guardianship law and is nationally known |
|
for his advocacy of elderly and incapacitated persons; he and his |
|
cases have been featured on numerous television and radio reports, |
|
including NBC's Dateline, as well as in several publications, such |
|
as the New York Times, the Houston Chronicle, the Dallas Morning |
|
News, and the Wall Street Journal; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Hammond has given of his time and talents as a |
|
conference presenter, as an expert witness, and as an active member |
|
of several professional organizations; he is the current executive |
|
director for the National Guardianship Association, a member of the |
|
board of the Texas Guardianship Association, and the chairman of |
|
the Texas Guardianship Advisory Board; he was also a featured |
|
speaker at a San Antonio conference, Docket Call in Probate Court, |
|
with a presentation titled "Multi-Jurisdictional Issues in Probate |
|
and Guardianship"; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Hammond sets an example of professional |
|
excellence to which his fellow attorneys may aspire, and he may |
|
reflect with pride on a career that is full of meaningful |
|
accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Terry W. Hammond on his many |
|
professional achievements and extend to him best wishes for the |
|
future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Hammond as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
