R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Galena Park ISD superintendent Mark Henry has been |
|
|
elected chairman of the University Interscholastic League (UIL) |
|
|
Legislative Council; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Henry brings to this important position a wealth |
|
|
of experience gained from his outstanding career as an educator and |
|
|
administrator, which in addition to his time with Galena Park ISD, |
|
|
has included a tenure as superintendent of Sulphur Springs ISD; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Before his recent election, Mr. Henry has served as |
|
|
second and first vice chair of the UIL Legislative Council and has |
|
|
been a member of the policy and finance standing committees; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An outstanding administrator, Mark Henry has |
|
|
contributed significantly to the educational experience of the |
|
|
state's students through his active support of the UIL, and he |
|
|
merits special recognition on his recent achievement; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mark Henry on his election as |
|
|
chairman of the UIL Legislative Council and extend to him best |
|
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Henry as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
