R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Margaret H. Connelly is celebrating a significant |
|
milestone in her life in May 2007 with her graduation from |
|
Southwestern University with a bachelor's degree in International |
|
Studies; and |
|
WHEREAS, During the course of her college studies, Meg |
|
Connelly has also distinguished herself as a legislative intern in |
|
the office of State Representative Thomas Latham; in that capacity, |
|
she has contributed to the workings of state government and has |
|
become a valued member of the representative's staff; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Connelly has also shown exceptional ability in |
|
all of her academic and extracurricular endeavors; a Sumner |
|
Fellowship Scholar, she has been on the Dean's List for three |
|
semesters and was recognized by the Southern Collegiate Athletic |
|
Conference Academic Honor Roll; a dedicated athlete, she has been a |
|
member of the Pirates basketball team while attending Southwestern |
|
University and served as vice president of the Student Athletic |
|
Advisory Committee; and |
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has demonstrated |
|
perseverance, intelligence, and commitment throughout her college |
|
career; these qualities will serve her well in the years to come, |
|
and it is a pleasure to honor her as she prepares to embark on an |
|
exciting new chapter in her life; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Margaret H. Connelly on her |
|
graduation from Southwestern University and commend her for her |
|
dedicated service as a legislative intern; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Connelly as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
