R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The city of Clint lost an admired member of the
  community with the death of Bill A. Borrego on March 15, 2007, at
  the age of 67; and
         WHEREAS, Born in San Elizario, Bill Borrego was considered
  one of the best baseball players in the County of El Paso, and he was
  inducted into the El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame; an outstanding
  pitcher, he later coached a local Little League team; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to his athletic achievements, Mr.
  Borrego served as alderman for the City of Clint and was a valued
  member of Saint Vincent De Paul; moreover, he took great pride in
  the family he created with his beloved wife, Bertha; and
         WHEREAS, Bill Borrego lived a caring and purposeful life, and
  he leaves behind a legacy to treasure for those who held him dear;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Bill A. Borrego and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Bertha Borrego; to his son, Danny Borrego, and his wife, Patsy; to
  his daughters, Delma Borrego and Diana B. Telles, and her husband,
  David; to his brother, Charlie Borrego; to his sister, Estella
  Frazier; to his grandchildren, Cindy, Bill, Danny, Alex, Derek,
  April, and Baby; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bill A.
  Borrego.
