| WHEREAS, The city of Clint lost an admired member of the | ||
| community with the death of Bill A. Borrego on March 15, 2007, at | ||
| the age of 67; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Born in San Elizario, Bill Borrego was considered | ||
| one of the best baseball players in the County of El Paso, and he was | ||
| inducted into the El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame; an outstanding | ||
| pitcher, he later coached a local Little League team; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In addition to his athletic achievements, Mr. | ||
| Borrego served as alderman for the City of Clint and was a valued | ||
| member of Saint Vincent De Paul; moreover, he took great pride in | ||
| the family he created with his beloved wife, Bertha; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Bill Borrego lived a caring and purposeful life, and | ||
| he leaves behind a legacy to treasure for those who held him dear; | ||
| now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Bill A. Borrego and | ||
| extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, | ||
| Bertha Borrego; to his son, Danny Borrego, and his wife, Patsy; to | ||
| his daughters, Delma Borrego and Diana B. Telles, and her husband, | ||
| David; to his brother, Charlie Borrego; to his sister, Estella | ||
| Frazier; to his grandchildren, Cindy, Bill, Danny, Alex, Derek, | ||
| April, and Baby; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of | ||
| Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bill A. | ||
| Borrego. | ||
