R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Sue and Joe Missimo of Bedford reached |
|
|
a meaningful milestone in their relationship when they celebrated |
|
|
their 50th wedding anniversary in 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in England, Mrs. Missimo met her future husband |
|
|
at a high school dance in Philadelphia; since then, the couple have |
|
|
nurtured a close and fulfilling marriage that has been made even |
|
|
richer with the addition of eight children and 13 grandchildren; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Missimo worked as a flight dispatcher for |
|
|
American Airlines for nearly four decades before his retirement, |
|
|
and he and Mrs. Missimo have been valued residents of Bedford for 26 |
|
|
years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Having witnessed innumerable changes in the world |
|
|
over the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife have |
|
|
taken comfort in the reassuring strength of their love, and the |
|
|
steadfast support they provide to one another has allowed them to |
|
|
meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and |
|
|
determination; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Sue and Joe Missimo on their golden |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Missimo as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
