R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Steps to Success, an educational conference for |
|
|
students in Northside ISD who have or are expecting a child, was |
|
|
held on March 30, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This event sought to help participants understand |
|
|
the many challenges of parenting and form strategies to aid in |
|
|
supporting their families, and it provided information about |
|
|
employment training and postsecondary education; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Steps to Success was organized by program |
|
|
coordinator Lisa M. Delgado of the Northside ISD School Age |
|
|
Parenting Program; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Delgado and all those involved in the planning |
|
|
and implementation of Steps to Success have demonstrated an |
|
|
impressive commitment to the youth of their community, and they |
|
|
merit special recognition for their achievement; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lisa Delgado and all associated |
|
|
with the Steps to Success conference for their work in behalf of |
|
|
school-age parents and extend to them best wishes for the future; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Delgado as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
