R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Jennifer Fix of Burleson has earned the Good |
|
Government Pharmacist-of-the-Year Award from the American |
|
Pharmacists Association; and |
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1990, this honor recognizes |
|
pharmacists who actively contribute to their profession through |
|
involvement in the political process and by improving service and |
|
education to the public; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Fix is a former president of the Texas Pharmacy |
|
Association, and her widely influential efforts have advanced the |
|
overall practice of pharmacy in the Lone Star State; she has been a |
|
strong proponent of establishing guidelines that allow pharmacists |
|
to better serve their patients, and her efforts initiated |
|
legislation requiring prompt payment by all third-party providers; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Drake University, Ms. Fix holds a |
|
bachelor's degree in pharmacy and a master's in business |
|
administration; she currently serves as president of Jen-Rx and is |
|
the owner of the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in Haltom City; and |
|
WHEREAS, This notable Texan has earned the trust and respect |
|
of her customers and her colleagues, and her exceptional efforts in |
|
behalf of her profession and community are an inspiration to all who |
|
know her; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Jennifer Fix on her receipt of the Good |
|
Government Pharmacist-of-the-Year Award from the American |
|
Pharmacists Association and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Fix as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
