R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Fran Terry, a beloved teacher in the Mesquite
  Independent School District, has been honored by the dedication of
  a school library in her name, at a ceremony on March 20, 2007; and
         WHEREAS, Married to Dr. James Terry, the former Mesquite ISD
  superintendent, Mrs. Terry served the district for 32 years,
  teaching first grade, third grade, sixth grade, and middle and high
  school mathematics; and
         WHEREAS, Her wide experience in the Mesquite ISD includes
  teaching positions at Porter Elementary, Tosch Elementary, Motley
  Elementary, Florence Elementary, Rugel Elementary, Vanston Middle
  School, McDonald Middle School, and Poteet High School; and
         WHEREAS, The new James Terry Middle School, named for her
  husband, was opened in August 2006; the library was the last
  structure in the school to be named, and in November 2006, the
  Mesquite ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to dedicate it as
  the Fran Terry Library; and
         WHEREAS, Respected by her colleagues and loved by her
  students, Mrs. Terry was inducted into the Mesquite ISD Apple Corps
  in 1990; she enjoys as well the love and devotion of her two
  children, Chris Terry and Melissa McGee, and her grandchildren,
  Alex, Luke, Blake, and Kailie; and
         WHEREAS, For 32 years, Fran Terry's devotion to excellence,
  enthusiasm for her profession, and warm rapport with her students
  made her a superlative teacher, and it is fitting that she receive
  this recognition; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Fran Terry for the dedication of
  the Fran Terry Library and extend best wishes to her for the future;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Terry as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
