R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to
  join Rotary District 5870 in recognizing Central Texans aged 12 to
  18 who have exemplified the Rotary International motto of "Service
  Above Self"; and
         WHEREAS, Today is Youth Service Above Self Day in Texas
  Rotary District 5870, and the following young men and women are to
  be commended for their extraordinary deeds in behalf of their
  families, schools, and communities during 2006: Sara Basham,
  Michaelina Conner, Frances Diep, Marley Drake, Shannon Drozd,
  Shannon Fletcher, Jose Torres, Heather Helton, Nicole Holle, Sarah
  Jatzlau, Candice Jenke, Crystal Johnson, Heather Kalmar,
  Christopher Kaspar, Anne Little, Alisa Luckey, Hemlata Malani, Cait
  McCann, Zenaida Miranda, Cody Morris, Lianne Netardus, Jeremy
  Nickerson, Eric Ortega, Samantha Orton, Vanessa Ramirez, Chris
  Ratliff, Tiffanny Samuelson, Josh Simpson, Amber Stanley, Amanda
  Ward, Devin Wenske, and Wendi Whipkey; and
         WHEREAS, The dedicated young Texans chosen for 2007 are:
  Amreen Bora, Jennifer Brenke, Kimber Dowell, Allyson Fisk, Brynn
  Fitzpatrick, Charles Foster, Katy Hobson, Cody Hunt, Philip Joseph,
  Kasey Kellar, Kacie Krause, Ashli Lawson, Julie Levingston, Laura
  Locke, Ciara Long, James E. Lynn III, Luis Maldonado, Mark McCombs,
  Abigail Menka, Ryan Merryman, Talitha Muehlbrad, Kesia Nuncio,
  Maranda Pounders, Dawn Rackel, Tiffany Raney, Tanner Smith, Avery
  Sorenson, Enchantra Thomas, Alison Vickery, Lindsey Weaver,
  Katherine Williams, Lauren Williams, and Tiana Won; and
         WHEREAS, Demonstrating true strength of character, these
  exceptional young Texans are role models for their peers, and their
  dedication to making a positive difference is truly worthy of
  praise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize April 25, 2007, as Youth Service Above
  Self Day at the State Capitol and commend those who exemplify the
  Rotary International motto in their daily lives; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for each honoree as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
