R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Fort Worth Spinks Airport has been recognized with |
|
|
the Most Improved Airport of the Year Award; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Chosen from 300 eligible candidates, Fort Worth |
|
|
Spinks has undergone considerable enhancement since it opened in |
|
|
2000, growing from a facility where 90 aircraft were based to one |
|
|
where 217 are now located; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Helping to earn the prestigious honor of most |
|
|
improved airport are the quality of the air traffic control |
|
|
services, new terminal building, large corporate hangars, |
|
|
t-hangars, box hangars, and a new fixed based operator; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Additionally, the City of Fort Worth is working with |
|
|
adjacent communities to plan for the airport's development and for |
|
|
such infrastructure needs as roads to the airport; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Fort Worth Spinks Airport is providing exceptional |
|
|
service in an area of rapid population and economic growth, and |
|
|
everyone who has worked to make it such a success merits special |
|
|
recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate all associated with Fort Worth |
|
|
Spinks Airport on its receipt of the Most Improved Airport of the |
|
|
Year Award and extend to them best wishes for the future; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the airport as an expression of the sentiment of the |
|
|
members of the Texas House of Representatives. |
