R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mary Irma Flores Escovedo has been named the |
|
|
Arlington Teacher of the Year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This prestigious honor recognizes educators who |
|
|
inspire in their young charges a love of learning and instill in |
|
|
them the skills necessary to achieve academic success; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of West Texas A&M University, Mrs. |
|
|
Escovedo is a bilingual teacher at South Davis Elementary in |
|
|
Arlington and is pursuing a master's degree in reading from Texas |
|
|
Woman's University in Denton; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors, she has enjoyed the support |
|
|
of her husband, Frank, and her four children, Francisco, Fabian, |
|
|
Fernando, and Felicity; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected and admired by all who are privileged to |
|
|
know her, Mrs. Escovedo has demonstrated a firm commitment to |
|
|
professional excellence and to the youth of the Lone Star State; she |
|
|
may reflect with pride on her recent accomplishment and know that |
|
|
her efforts are making a positive difference in the lives of |
|
|
generations of Texans; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mary Irma Flores Escovedo on being |
|
|
named the Arlington Teacher of the Year and extend to her best |
|
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Escovedo as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
