R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The 50th birthday of an esteemed Texan is always |
|
cause for celebration, and on April 20, 2007, Sylvia G. Reyes will |
|
mark this special occasion; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in Weslaco in 1957, Mrs. Reyes graduated from |
|
high school in 1975; she shortly thereafter began a career with |
|
Haggar; and |
|
WHEREAS, After 17 years with the company, Mrs. Reyes began a |
|
new job at a local daycare; inspired by the career change, she |
|
continued her education and earned certification as a child |
|
development associate in order to open her own business, Precious |
|
Daycare; and |
|
WHEREAS, With a skill for business and an undeniable gift for |
|
working with children, she has experienced considerable success |
|
with her endeavor and has since opened another Precious Daycare |
|
facility, as well as the Rugrats Learning Center; today, her young |
|
charges include 150 children, and her kindness and compassion |
|
continue to play an important role in their development and |
|
well-being; and |
|
WHEREAS, This beloved wife and mother of three is a joy and |
|
inspiration to all who know her, and she may reflect with pride on |
|
five decades of life well-lived; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Sylvia G. Reyes on the milestone of |
|
her 50th birthday and extend to her best wishes for the future; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mrs. Reyes as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
