R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Kathryn Jay Hamilton of Lubbock County has dedicated
  50 years of her life to educating young Texans as a public school
  teacher; and
         WHEREAS, Beginning her career by operating a day-care center,
  Kathryn Hamilton later taught classes in a number of towns in the
  Texas Panhandle, including Olton, Hale Center, Post, and Paducah;
  she ultimately accepted a job with Frenship High School in
  Wolfforth, where today, at age 84, she continues to teach
  senior-level English; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Hamilton is known as a flexible and skilled
  instructor who is able to successfully incorporate the latest
  educational tools and techniques into her classroom; and
         WHEREAS, Serving as a positive role model who has influenced
  countless students over the course of several generations, Kathryn
  Hamilton has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to public
  education, and her long and distinguished career has earned her a
  special place in the hearts of many people; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Kathryn Jay Hamilton for 50 years of
  service and remind her of the high regard in which she is held by her
  fellow Texans; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Hamilton as an expression of admiration by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
