R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
WHEREAS, Karen Djoahna Palapar of Trevino Elementary School |
|
|
in San Juan has deservedly been named a finalist in the 2007 H-E-B |
|
|
Excellence in Education Awards; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards are |
|
|
designed to honor outstanding public school professionals for their |
|
|
dedication to their students; honorees go the extra mile each and |
|
|
everyday to serve their students and their communities, and Ms. |
|
|
Palapar is indeed one such inspiring professional; for her tireless |
|
|
efforts, she and her school each received a $1,000 cash prize; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Palapar's selection as a finalist in this |
|
|
prestigious program is a testament to her commitment to the |
|
|
children of the Lone Star State and her proven ability to motivate, |
|
|
mentor, and provide innovative and exciting instruction; her |
|
|
passion for teaching has truly enriched the lives of many young |
|
|
Texans, and it is a pleasure to honor her at this time; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Karen Djoahna Palapar on being |
|
|
named a finalist in the 2007 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Palapar as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
