R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The year 2007 marks the 60th anniversary of The San
  Antonio Orthopaedic Group, LLP, which provides orthopaedic,
  medical, and surgical care to patients throughout the Alamo City
  and beyond; and
         WHEREAS, The San Antonio Orthopaedic Group was established by
  the late John J. Hinchey, M.D., in 1947, and since that time, it has
  grown into one of the largest practices of its kind in the state; a
  pioneer in the field of orthopaedics, Dr. Hinchey was committed to
  providing his patients with the highest standard of care and to
  furthering the education of residents and physicians in the
  community; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Hinchey's legacy lives on in the practice today,
  with 24 board-certified, experienced orthopaedic physicians,
  trained in a variety of subspecialties, providing care for the full
  range of musculoskeletal disorders, diseases, and injuries to the
  human body in the areas of adult reconstructive, arthroscopic
  surgery, hand, foot, ankle, spine, sports, trauma, and general
  orthopaedics; and
         WHEREAS, The San Antonio Orthopaedic Group employs 285
  individuals in five locations, and its services include physical
  therapy, imaging, and surgery; and
         WHEREAS, The physicians of The San Antonio Orthopaedic Group
  also continue Dr. Hinchey's commitment to education by teaching at
  The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and
  publishing textbooks and scientific articles;  each year, about 200
  doctors travel to San Antonio to study with the group, and others
  watch video transmissions of surgeries performed at the clinics;
  and
         WHEREAS, For six decades, The San Antonio Orthopaedic Group
  has worked to protect the health of countless patients, and its
  outstanding record of service is truly worthy of special
  recognition; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate The San Antonio Orthopaedic Group
  on the 60th anniversary of its founding and extend to all those
  associated with the group sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for The San Antonio Orthopaedic Group as an expression of
  high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
