R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Montgomery County Hospital District provides
  health care and emergency services to area residents in need, and
  National Emergency Medical Services Week, which is being held May
  20-26, 2007, provides a fitting occasion in which to honor that
  organization and its dedicated emergency medical personnel; and
         WHEREAS, Sponsored by the American College of Emergency
  Physicians, National EMS Week raises public awareness about health
  and safety issues and celebrates the commitment of the nation's
  750,000 EMS workers; and
         WHEREAS, The Montgomery County Hospital District, which was
  established in 1977, is home to some 150 emergency medical
  technicians and paramedics who daily respond to emergency calls,
  along with firefighters, police officers, and other community
  first-response partners; the highly trained medical professionals
  at MCHD are equipped to provide a range of lifesaving services under
  any circumstances; and
         WHEREAS, The first responders of the Montgomery County
  Hospital District contribute vitally to the quality of health care
  in the county and they are indeed deserving of special praise for
  their remarkable efforts on the front lines; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize the dedicated emergency medical
  personnel of the Montgomery County Hospital District and extend to
  them sincere best wishes for continued success with their important
  work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
