R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Michael Moore of Much Moore Salons & Boutique has
  been named a winner of the 2007 Outstanding Texan Award in the
  category of arts/entertainment by the Texas Legislative Black
  Caucus; and
         WHEREAS, Outstanding Texans are honored for the positive
  impact they make in their communities, and through his work, Mr.
  Moore strives to create an opportunity for his clients to realize
  the full potential of their inner and outer beauty; and
         WHEREAS, Wholly committed to the art of creating personal
  beauty, Mr. Moore has been cutting and styling hair for nearly two
  decades; his extensive experience includes work in the
  entertainment industry as a stylist for a variety of television
  stations and programs and as a makeup artist to several stars,
  including Anita Baker, Roberta Flack, Gladys Knight, and Nancy
  Wilson; moreover, he owns and operates his salon and boutique, and
  he serves as a national trainer for Fashion Fair Cosmetics and as a
  platform artist for Avalon Industries; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Moore's endeavors have received numerous
  accolades and have been touted in Vogue, Esquire, Time, Black
  Elegance, and USA Today; a licensed cosmetology instructor, he is
  also known for his work producing and coordinating the community
  fashion show, "Elegance is Back," and for his contributions to For
  Sisters Only--Dallas; and
         WHEREAS, Michael Moore is an artist of note, and the
  Outstanding Texan commendation is a fitting recognition of his
  exemplary achievements; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Michael Moore on his receipt of a
  2007 Outstanding Texan Award from the Texas Legislative Black
  Caucus and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Moore as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
