R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Charles Britton of Lubbock has been a tremendous |
|
asset to the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association, which has |
|
gained immeasurably from his leadership and commitment; and |
|
WHEREAS, A trade association that represents all segments of |
|
the green industry in Texas, TNLA serves growers, landscape |
|
contractors, retail nursery, and allied green industry businesses; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Britton has held a number of leadership |
|
positions with the group; currently guiding the membership as |
|
president, he has also been vice president, treasurer, state |
|
director, and regional board member; and |
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas Tech University, Mr. Britton is |
|
married to DeAnn Britton, a retired educator and his wife of 41 |
|
years; they are valued congregants of St. John's United Methodist |
|
Church; in his free time, Mr. Britton enjoys photography and wood |
|
carving; and |
|
WHEREAS, During his outstanding tenure with TNLA, Charles |
|
Britton has devoted himself to the welfare of the organization and |
|
its members, setting a high standard of excellence for the benefit |
|
of all; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Charles Britton for his service to the |
|
Texas Nursery and Landscape Association and extend to him sincere |
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Britton as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
